Dear Parents:
See what you can do this year to celebrate Advent at home by "preparing" for Christmas all through the Advent Season (Nov. 28 -Dec. 23) . Then, do something radical. Rather then turn off Christmas on December 25, continue to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, as our church does and has done traditionally. Continue the joy by leaving your decorations up until Epiphany. Keep listening to Christmas music, do secret good deeds for others. Just continue the joy..............

On Dec. 8 we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate conception. Here is a little bit about this feast from Busted Halo. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. What's that?
Hi Parents,
This month of December has many opportunities. You can teach your children about Advent, Christmas, St. Nicholas and more. We will also celebrate the feast of St. Nicholas on Dec. 6th and the feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, which is a Holy Day of Obligation. See the videos to learn more. |
One of your lessons this month is on the Domestic Church. Watch the video below to learn more.
